Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced finance and accounts person to join a fast-paced and growing finance team as an Assistant Management Accountant, supporting core financial processes, and contributing to continuous improvement across the function. This full-time, permanent role is based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career and gain broader exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis, and financial controls.
About the Role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring strong financial controls are upheld. This role suits someone with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with financial data.
Key Responsibilities
*Daily banking — Assist with daily banking activity and cash reconciliations.
*Month-end processes — Support accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting.
*Financial records — Maintain accurate documentation and financial data.
*Audit support — Assist with audits and compliance checks.
*Stock and cost control — Provide administrative support for stock and cost control.
*General finance admin — Deliver wider finance and administrative support as required.
*Cross-functional liaison — Work with colleagues across the business to gather information and resolve queries.
*Deadline management — Work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Requirements
*Previous finance or accounting experience
*AAT Level 3 or above
*Strong Excel skills and confidence handling financial data
*Proactive mindset with genuine enthusiasm for finance
*Professional, organised, and able to work independently or within a team
