Full job descriptionA growing and well-established manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function for a key business unit.
This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior leadership (including MD and CFO level), offering influence and the opportunity to drive financial performance and improve processes.
The Role
This is a hands-on Finance Manager role where you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control.
You’ll act as a key link between finance and operations, providing insight and challenge to support business performance.
Key Responsibilities
*Own the month-end close process and produce monthly management accounts
*Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
*Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Deliver monthly flash reports and weekly KPI reporting
*Oversee accounts payable, including payment run approvals
*Monitor accounts receivable, identifying and escalating risk
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support audit requirements
*Assist with payroll processes where required
*Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
About You
*Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
*Experience in a similar Finance Manager role
*Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a fast-paced environment preferred
*Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
*Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
*Confident engaging with stakeholders across finance and operations
*ERP system experience
