As a MIG Welder, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly process, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
*Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning components.
*Produce high-quality welds that meet customer and company quality standards.
*Inspect completed welds and carry out any necessary finishing work.
*Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
*Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
*Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
*Work collaboratively with production teams to achieve daily production targets.
*Report equipment faults, quality concerns, or production issues to supervisors.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience as a MIG Welder within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*Strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
*Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
