You will be working in the Building Operating Unit where we are responsible for a major project in Cambridgeshire. We are currently looking for a Construction Supervisor who will be responsible for effectively and professionally manage, monitor, and supervise the construction works across a major project.
As the Construction Supervisor you will:
*Manage the trade contractors including the production of works to drawings and specifications, manage performance on site.
*Oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Construction Managers with matters primarily relating to onsite activities.
*Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project/Construction Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
*Ensure good communications within the Project and regularly brief other team members and trade contractors.
We are looking for:
*Construction related qualification to HNC level.
*Member, or working towards membership, of a professional institution (MCIOB/ICE highly desirable).
*Be in possession of a current Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS & First Aider Qualified.
*Suitable experience as a Construction Supervisor on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor preferred.
*Have site-based experience and ideally management of people.
