*Develop and implement category strategies to drive business growth and meet objectives.
*Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and sales data to identify opportunities and challenges.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure alignment on category plans.
*Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence category performance.
*Line manage one direct report.
*Monitor competitor activity and provide actionable insights to maintain a competitive edge.
*Prepare and present category reviews and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
*Support the development of promotional activities and pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
*Continuously evaluate category performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Profile
A successful Senior Category Manager should have:
*A background in buying, category management or sales from within FMCG.
*Experience working with national retailers.
*Experience managing people preferable but not essential.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
*Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
*A solid understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour within the FMCG sector.
*Proficiency in category management tools and software.
*A strategic mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
*Able to be in a London office 5 days a week.

*Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
