Location: Warrington
Salary: £15.38-£17.94 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Temporary (3- 6 Months) with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Full-time
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a friendly and growing business on a temporary basis for approximately six months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied finance role, with the possibility of securing a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
*Bank reconciliations
*Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
*Assisting with credit control
*Processing payments and allocating receipts
*Supporting month-end procedures
*Maintaining accurate financial records
*Assisting with VAT returns where required
*General finance administration and ad hoc support to the finance team
About You:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
*Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
*Strong Excel skills
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and manage priorities
*AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous but is not essential
