We are seeking a dedicated Technical Manager to oversee our Food Safety and Quality Management System. This role is crucial for maintaining our adherence to food safety standards, including HACCP, BRC, GMP, FEMAS, and EU/UK regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and standards are consistently maintained.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Maintain the Food Safety & Quality Management System.
*Ensure the HACCP plan is fit for purpose and all related checks are being carried out.
*Maintain food safety records/files including knife, toolbox, weight control, and glass control.
*Maintain traceability records for purchased ingredients (COCs/COAs).
*Maintain supplier documentation and handle process customer and supplier documentation requests.
*Work with Department Heads to ensure working procedures are up to date.
*Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.
*Ensure document review procedures are followed.
*Liaise with pest control and cleaning contractors, maintaining records and auditing cleaning operations.
*Develop and implement food safety training programmes.
*Assist the Factory Manager with health & safety training programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in managing Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
*Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, GMP, FEMAS, and EU/UK food safety regulations.
*Experience in training and managing teams, particularly in a lab setting.
*Ability to conduct and respond to internal audits and corrective actions.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
