Full job descriptionLegal CashierJoin a well-established Corporate & Commercial Law Firm as a Legal Cashier, where you’ll play a key role in supporting a busy finance function within a fast-paced legal environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier looking to join a collaborative team and take ownership of a varied cashiering role.
About the RoleAs a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of both Client and Office Accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you’ll manage a broad range of legal cashiering duties while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities*Manage Client and Office Account transactions.
*Process office-to-client and client-to-office transfers.
*Raise client bills and support the billing process.
*Process CHAPS and Faster Payments.
*Process legal payments accurately and efficiently.
*Complete bank reconciliations.
*Manage Client and Office bank accounts.
*Post client receipts.
*Support Purchase Ledger activities.
*Assist with the wider Legal Cashiering function as required.
Key Requirements*Previous Legal Cashier experience.
*Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules.
*Experience managing both Client and Office Accounts.
*Experience processing CHAPS, Faster Payments and other legal payments.
*Ability to manage a high volume of financial transactions accurately.
*Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
*Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
