Purpose of the role
This role offers the opportunity to programme, set and operate advanced CNC turning and milling machinery, producing high-quality precision components to exact engineering standards.

Roles & Responsibilities:
*Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters.
*Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part.
*Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine.
*Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process.
*Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications.
Preferred requirements and skills:
*Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential
*Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential
*Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control
*Strong understanding of engineering drawings
*Excellent attention to detail
*Ability to identify and resolve issues
*Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
*Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
Qualifications and education requirements:
*GSCE Mathematics
*Good level of basic English
