Full job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-end retail fit-out project at Bicester Village. This is a fast-paced project requiring a proactive manager with a strong background in retail fit-out, refurbishment and finishing works.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage all on-site activities throughout the fit-out project lifecycle.
*Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
*Ensure works are delivered in line with programme milestones and client expectations.
*Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
*Maintain and enforce Health & Safety compliance at all times.
*Complete site inspections and quality assurance checks.
*Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
*Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits and daily site records.
*Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics.
*Liaise with client representatives, contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
*Resolve site issues efficiently to minimise programme delays.
Requirements:
Essential:
*Valid CSCS Black Card (Management Level).
*Proven experience working as a Site Manager on retail / residential / industrial fit-out projects.
*Strong understanding of fit-out sequencing and finishing trades.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills.
*Experience managing subcontractor packages.
*Ability to work in a live retail environment while maintaining safety and operational standards.
*Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
Desirable
*SMSTS Qualification.
*First Aid at Work.
*Fire Marshal certification.
*Experience delivering luxury retail or premium brand fit-out projects.
*Previous experience working within shopping centres or high-footfall retail environments.
