Our client are leaders in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.
The role will be working a 3 shift system ().
The Job you’ll do
*Diagnosis and repair of special purpose equipment and make sure it works correctly.
*Formulation and execution of effective (value-added) planned maintenance (PM) to prevent disruption of activities.
*Prioritisation, validation, and completion of maintenance requests.
*Control of Inventory using engineering database.
*Pilot key equipment using maintenance key performance indicators (KPI’s) to formulate and execute improvement action plans.
*Mentor and support to maintenance apprentices.
*Additional Responsibilities
*Capture of comprehensive maintenance data for equipment history and ’lessons learnt’ purposes.
*PLC fault finding using PLCs for remedial actions and process improvements.
*Coordinate with maintenance engineering department for external modifications and future installations.
*Support improvements identified through the Red Tag and 6S process.
*Shift handovers must be completed.
*Support a culture of change and improvement within the engineering department.
About You
*Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and be educated to HNC or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 3 year’s post Apprenticeship experience with strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
*Must be able to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings for fault-finding purposes
*Having experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
*Basic fabrication skills are advantageous.
*The use of testing equipment.
*Knowledge PLCs ladder logic and structured text.
*Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel, and Outlook
*Experience of the following is essential: -
*PLC, Siemens S7 Advantageous.
*Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance and fault-finding skills.
*Very strong with electrical fault-finding using HMI fault codes.
*Root cause analysis.
*18th Edition wiring regulations.
*Be flexible to work 3 shifts including nights, as well as overtime when required.
