Full job descriptionMental Health Teaching Assistant
*A position recently became available for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a lovely specialist school in Reading. The role would be to start in September.
*In this role as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you would have access to not only the opportunity to work with lovely children, but also a supportive and friendly environment where you are able to grow in your career and add valuable experience to your CV.
*The role as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant will take place in a specialist school, where you will support students between the ages of 5 and 11.
*The school look after children and young people who have been identified as having social, emotional and mental health needs. These children also have learning difficulties and some have been diagnosed with Autism or Down’s Syndrome.
*To be successful in this role as a mental health teaching assistant - you will need to be kind and compassionate, caring and take initiative well. You will also need to problem solve well and be able to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the children.
*It is also of paramount importance that you are well aware of the importance of safeguarding children in education.
