Make a meaningful difference every day
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential?
A welcoming and vibrant specialist school in Headington is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join their team, supporting children aged 5-16 with a range of additional needs.
About the School
This is far more than just a school - it’s a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, express themselves, and succeed at their own pace.
The school supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional challenges such as ADHD, learning difficulties, and communication needs. With the right guidance and encouragement, students are empowered to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping students feel supported, engaged, and motivated throughout the school day. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and consistent learning environment where every student can succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting students in the classroom to remain focused and engaged
*Managing behaviour using positive and proactive strategies
*Delivering tailored interventions and individual support plans
*Building strong, trusting relationships with students
*Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social development
*Working collaboratively with staff to provide consistent support
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
You should have:
*A calm, positive, and supportive approach
*A genuine interest in behaviour support and child development
*Confidence in building rapport and managing challenging behaviour
*Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
*An interest in education, psychology, mental health, or youth work would be an advantage
The Details
*Role: Behaviour Support Worker
*Location: Headington
*Pay: £90 - £110 per day
*Start Date: September Start
*Hours: Full-time
*Contract: Long-term opportunity
If you’re looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same and you can genuinely make a difference in young people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
