Summary:
We are recruiting for an experienced Depot Manager to lead a busy, fast-paced parcel operation based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operational leader who has a proven background within the parcels sector and thrives in a time-critical environment.
You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the depot, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding customer service, and a highly engaged workforce while delivering against key commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the day-to-day operation of a high-volume parcel depot
*Manage warehouse and transport activities to ensure service and productivity targets are achieved
*Drive operational performance through effective leadership and people development
*Monitor and improve KPIs, including productivity, service levels, quality, cost, and compliance
*Manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
*Ensure all Health & Safety and transport compliance standards are met
*Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
*Develop and coach frontline managers and operational teams
*Maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
*Lead operational change and implement best practice across the depot
Key Skills/Experience:
*Proven experience as a Depot Manager or Operations Manager within the parcel industry
*Strong understanding of high-volume parcel operations
*Experience managing warehouse and transport functions
*A hands-on leader who leads by example and enjoys being visible within the operation
*Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational KPIs
*Excellent people management and leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
*Experience managing operational change and driving continuous improvement
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*Able to make decisions in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
