Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and reputable business in Southampton to recruit a Transport Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Arrange empty and loaded container restitutions with shipping lines and upload empty containers to the systems.
*Electronically file documentation within company asset folders.
*Answer incoming telephone calls and emails, responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries.
*Liaise with drivers to provide support and resolve operational issues.
*Prepare and distribute weekly job packs for drivers.
*Produce and maintain customer KPI reports.
*Search, organise and file delivery Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
*Monitor container landing times, check PINs and release information, and notify customers of any delays or issues.
*Monitor booking emails and input jobs that are not received.
*Process service and MOT documentation in line with industry standards and company procedures.
Previous Skills & Experience:
*Previous experience within a transport, logistics or supply chain environment.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems in a timely manner.
*Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
*Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
