Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe’re recruiting on behalf of an innovative and growing business for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a ledger, building strong customer relationships and delivering effective credit control within a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to improve collections, reduce aged debt and support the continued development of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities for a Credit Controller:*Manage and maintain the sales ledger.
*Chase outstanding debt via telephone and email.
*Build positive relationships with customers to encourage timely payment.
*Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently.
*Produce aged debt reports and monitor debtor balances.
*Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate records.
*Support the Finance Manager with month-end activities.
*Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and reduce outstanding debt.
Key Skills for a Credit Controller:*Previous Credit Control or Sales Ledger experience.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Confident making outbound collection calls.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Able to prioritise workload and work independently.
*Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
*Positive, resilient and proactive approach to collections.
