Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client is a well established and privately owned group of businesses with a diverse portfolio in the property industry. They are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to support financial reporting, improve processes and help develop the wider finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a varied position offering the opportunity to take ownership of monthly management accounts, lead process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of systems and reporting.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
*Produce financial analysis and management information to support business decisions.
*Mentor and support junior members of the finance team, providing guidance and development.
*Review and improve existing finance processes to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
*Work with Sage 50, identifying opportunities to enhance the system and improve reporting capabilities.
*Calculate and maintain service charge budgets, reconciliations and year-end statements.
*Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
*Support the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.
*Undertake ad hoc projects as the finance function continues to evolve.
Candidate Profile*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience.
*Previous experience producing full management accounts.
*Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.
*Experience supervising or mentoring finance staff would be advantageous.
*Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge existing processes.
Salary & Benefits*£45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
*Full-time, permanent position offering a 35 hour work week.
*Office-based with 1 wfh day per week
*On-site parking.
