Full job descriptionA highly regarded law firm is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join its growing Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with at least 1 year’s PQE to develop their career within a Legal 500 recognised department, working alongside experienced specialists on high-quality matters for high net worth individuals, families and owner-managed businesses.
Whether you’re looking to build on your early experience or you’re an established solicitor seeking your next challenge, you’ll be joining a collaborative team with genuine opportunities for progression.
The Role
You’ll manage a varied Private Client caseload with support from experienced colleagues, advising on a broad range of matters including:
*Wills, trusts and estate planning
*Inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation
*Lasting Powers of Attorney
*Estate administration, including complex and high-value estates
*Succession planning for individuals, families and business owners
*Matters involving international assets and HMRC compliance
You’ll also have the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, work closely with colleagues across other practice areas and develop your profile through networking and professional development, including STEP events where appropriate.
About You
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
*1+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
*Experience advising on wills, trusts, probate and estate administration
*Knowledge of inheritance tax planning and related Private Client matters
*Experience working with high net worth individuals or business owners (desirable)
*An interest in, or progress towards, STEP qualification (beneficial but not essential)
*Excellent communication and client care skills with a personable and empathetic approach
*A genuine desire to develop your career within a supportive, highly respected team
