Full job descriptionJob Purpose:
We are looking for a super-sharp Test Engineer to work in our Agile development teams. You will be working in a great atmosphere on stimulating projects with other talented test engineers. We will need you to provide high quality testing services to the engineering team, working with other testers assigned to a project. You will be working closely with developers and the product owner. Out testing work involves gaining a deep understanding of the product so that you can focus your testing activities.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities:
*Gain a deep technical understanding of the product you are testing to a developer level
*Working with developers, other testers and product experts, write effective and efficient tests
*Carry out both formally scripted and exploratory testing
*Actively participate in sprint planning and other project group activities
Essential Skills And Experience:
Essential
*Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester
*Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests
*A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development
*Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
*Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray)
*Comfortable using command line tools
*Debug / troubleshooting skills
*Excellent communication, both written and verbal
*STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications
Desirable
*Demonstrable experience with networking
*Knowledge of vulnerability management and CVE best practices
