The Role of the Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant in WinchesterAs a key member of the team, you’ll report to the Director and support the team across a variety of projects, gaining valuable exposure from inception to completion. We need a professional eager to learn, contribute, and grow within the firm.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Project Support: Assisting the Senior and Associate team leads on diverse projects, including commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments.
*Core Cost Management: Applying your developing expertise in both pre and post-contract cost management with exposure to JCT or NEC contracts.
*Client Communication: Working closely with project management teams to gather data and contribute expert advice on cost-related matters.
*Developing Expertise: Focusing on accurate cost reporting, tender analysis, and administering contract procedures.
What We’re Looking For in a Quantity Surveyor / Cost ConsultantYou’re an ambitious professional with a degree and demonstrable commitment to a career in cost consultancy.
*A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.
*Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in a PQS/consultancy environment is essential.
*You are actively working towards your MRICS Chartership or have the clear goal of achieving it soon.
*2-5 years post qualification (degree) experience.
*The desire to excel, contribute immediately, and eventually progress into a Senior/Associate-level role.
