Looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant role this September?The Supply Register is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Grantham to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school year.
About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both academically and socially, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
This is a classroom-based role supporting pupils throughout the school day and contributing to their overall progress and development.
Key Responsibilities*Support teaching and learning within the classroom
*Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and daily routines
*Deliver small-group interventions where required
*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
*Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
*Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For*Previous experience working with children in an education or care setting
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*A patient, proactive, and supportive approach
*Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
*A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
This Role Is Not Suitable If:*You have no experience working with children
*You are seeking non-education-based work
*You are unable to commit to full-time school hours
*You are not comfortable working in a classroom environment
