Hartlepool | Full-Time
Are you a passionate Family Solicitor looking to focus on Public Law Children work within a supportive, well-established team?
I’m working with a highly regarded North East law firm that is looking to recruit two Family Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives to join its growing Family department in Hartlepool. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team with a strong reputation for client care, quality work and a genuinely supportive culture.
The Role You’ll manage your own caseload of predominantly Public Law Children matters, advising and supporting clients through every stage of proceedings.
Your work will include:
*Managing Public Law Children cases from instruction through to conclusion.
*Advising and representing clients throughout proceedings, including advocacy where appropriate.
*Drafting legal documents including Children Act applications, witness statements, court orders and instructions to Counsel and experts.
*Completing Legal Help and Legal Aid documentation, including eligibility assessments.
*Building strong relationships with clients, Counsel, Local Authorities and other professionals.
*Ensuring compliance with SRA and regulatory requirements.
About You To be considered, you’ll ideally have:
*At least 2 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in Public Family Law.
*Experience managing Public Law Children matters.
*Knowledge of Legal Help and Public Funding.
*Excellent communication and client care skills.
*Strong organisational and case management abilities.
*A genuine passion for helping vulnerable clients through difficult circumstances.
A Children Panel Accreditation would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
