We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Foundation SEND Lecturer to support learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Further Education setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment and helping learners develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for their future success.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to learners with SEND across Foundation and Supported Learning programmes.
*Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
*Deliver and embed Functional Skills English and Maths within the curriculum.
*Support learners to achieve their individual learning goals and EHCP outcomes where applicable.
*Monitor, assess, and track learner progress, providing timely feedback and support.
*Create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment that promotes learner engagement and achievement.
*Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, curriculum teams, parents/carers, and external agencies.
*Promote learner independence, personal development, employability skills, and preparation for adulthood.
*Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
*Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies at all times.
Essential Requirements
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
*Experience teaching learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
*Experience delivering Functional Skills English and Maths.
*Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
*Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.
