Full job descriptionAbout the Role*We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to join our specialist substance misuse service. You will support individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, helping them achieve sustainable recovery through person-centred care planning, risk management, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities*Manage a caseload of service users from assessment through to recovery and discharge.
*Complete comprehensive assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
*Deliver ongoing key working sessions and regular reviews.
*Coordinate interventions tailored to individual needs.
*Signpost and refer service users to specialist services including:
*
*Housing
*Mental Health
*Employment & Education
*Benefits Advice*Physical Health Services
*Promote harm reduction and safer substance use practices.
*Carry out risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
*Maintain accurate electronic case records.
*Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
*Encourage service users to build resilience, independence and long-term recovery.
*Support individuals to access community recovery groups and peer support networks.
*Ensure all work complies with safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

Essential Requirements*Experience working within substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, criminal justice or a related support setting.
*Experience managing a caseload.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to build positive and professional relationships.
*Strong organisational and time management skills.
*Ability to complete accurate records and reports.
*Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable*NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
*Experience using case management systems.
*Knowledge of recovery-focused interventions.
*Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
*Experience working within multi-agency environments.
