Full job descriptionWarehouse Manager
On-site warehouse role, Berkshire (Wokingham area)
£35,000 - £45,000
On-site warehouse role, Berkshire.
Festival builds, immersive light trails, corporate productions, if you have live events warehouse management experience and you’re ready to own the operation rather than support it, this Warehouse Manager role is worth your attention.
This is a genuine step up: a leadership position at a fast-growing commercial events and equipment hire business, with a team behind you, real responsibility and pay that reflects the hours you put in.
- All overtime paid in full, no time-in-lieu, no exceptions.
- 12.07% holiday pay accrual on every hour worked, taken as extra cash or leave, typically adding a full week per year.
- Minimum 4-hour call-out pay for weekend and ad-hoc work.
- Leadership across festivals, immersive installations and commercial events, varied, high-profile output.
- A business growing 20% year-on-year, with directors who work alongside the team when it counts.
The Company
This is a mid-size technical event production and equipment hire company in Berkshire, covering everything from full-scale festival logistics to immersive light installations and corporate live events. The culture is genuinely close-knit: core values of curiosity, passion, dependability and enthusiasm are lived out daily, and people at every level roll up their sleeves. The Warehouse Manager sits at the heart of how this business delivers, and that is reflected in how the function is respected and resourced. Staff tend to stay.
The Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will take full ownership of a busy, high-volume warehouse management operation serving a diverse calendar of live events, festivals and commercial events.
- Lead a core warehouse team, scaling to 20-plus staff during peak periods.
- Oversee all equipment preparation, testing and dispatch across live events and festivals.
- Manage inventory accuracy and equipment hire stock turnover.
- Enforce Health and Safety compliance across the warehouse and all on-site visitors.
- Drive rapid equipment turnaround during high-output periods, including overnight shift coordination.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to keep projects on schedule.
The Candidate
The right Warehouse Manager for this role will come from a live events or festival background, that context is non-negotiable. General logistics or warehouse management experience alone will not be a fit here.
- Hands-on warehouse management experience within live events or festivals.
- Proven team leadership and people management in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid grounding in equipment preparation, testing and inventory management.
- Demonstrable Health and Safety compliance knowledge and day-to-day enforcement.
- Confidence managing high volumes and shifting priorities across commercial events.
Experience with immersive or technical productions is beneficial but not essential, as is familiarity with equipment hire management systems or managing casual and freelance workforces during peaks. What matters most is the right live events instinct and a practical, sleeves-rolled-up attitude.
In return you will get a competitive salary, paid overtime, strong holiday benefits and genuine ownership of a critical business function as Warehouse Manager at a commercial events company on a strong growth curve. Interviews are being arranged now, so get your application in and we will be in touch.
Live specialises in all disciplines (and at all levels) across events, experiential and exhibitions, live communications, production and creative services. If this position is not quite right but you are looking for a new opportunity, please get in touch to discuss other options.
Live values diversity and promotes equality across our business. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of background, and we are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments you may need throughout the process.
