THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
*Processing daily bank payments and receipts while maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers

*Reconciling bank and vehicle funding accounts

*Managing vehicle purchase ledger accounts

*Preparing month-end reconciliations and supporting nominal ledger processes

*Producing weekly and monthly financial reports, analysis, and cashflow information

*Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal processing

*Using advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to analyse financial data

*Identifying and resolving reporting errors while supporting continuous process improvements

*Providing general support to the finance team and undertaking ad hoc duties as required

YOUR PROFILE.
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts role

*Ideally studying towards an Accountancy qualification or part/full AAT qualified (or equivalent accounting qualification)

*Motor trade experience would be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of Kerridge/Drive

*Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

*Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

*Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team

SALARY AND HOURS.
*£27,000 per annum

*Working hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm

*The Accounts Assistant role is fully office based
