Full job descriptionWe are looking for an organised, reliable and hands-on Storeman / Goods-In Manager to join our growing OEM sales and distribution business based in Wickford, Essex.
This is a key role within the operations team, responsible for managing the smooth and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. The successful candidate will take ownership of the warehouse and goods-in / goods-out process, ensuring stock is handled accurately and efficiently from the point of delivery through to despatch.
We are looking for someone who is practical and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities*Manage the day-to-day operation of the goods-in and warehouse area.
*Receive, check and accurately record incoming deliveries.
*Inspect goods for quantity and condition, reporting any discrepancies or damage.
*Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, stored and organised.
*Arrange and coordinate outgoing deliveries and collections.
*Maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stock checks and inventory control.
*Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies where required.
*Liaise with suppliers, couriers, customers and internal teams regarding deliveries and shipments.
*Follow company procedures relating to stock control, goods-in and despatch.
*Assist with improving warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
*Manage a small team, working together to continually promote efficiency.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse, goods-in, stock control or stores environment, ideally within a distribution, wholesale, manufacturing or OEM-related business.
You will be:

*Able to accurately handle stock records and documentation.

*Proactive, practical and willing to get involved wherever needed.
Desirable Experience*Previous experience in a Storeman, Goods-In, Warehouse or Stock Control position.
*Ideally xperience working within an OEM sales, distribution or supply chain environment.
*Experience using NetSuite or another ERP / inventory management system would be highly beneficial.
*Experience with stock management and inventory control systems.
*Familiarity with courier and freight processes.
