Quality InspectorLocation: Livingston
Salary: Circa £40,000 - £41,000, rising to £46,000 - £48,000 after 3 months
Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation (Moving to 4 on, 4 off Continental Shifts after training)
Join a Global Engineering ManufacturerWe’re looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing business in Livingston. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential, long-term job security and genuine career progression.
You’ll complete an initial three-month training period on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern before moving onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift, increasing your salary to circa £46,000 - £48,000 per annum.
What You’ll Be Doing*Inspect forged and machined components to ensure they meet quality standards.
*Carry out dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
*Identify defects and support quality improvements across production.
*Complete inspection documentation accurately.
*Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
*Work closely with production teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
What We’re Looking For*Time-served Engineer or HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering.
*Previous inspection experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*Ability to read engineering drawings.
*Experience using precision measuring equipment.
*Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
*Flexible to work rotating shifts before moving onto continental shifts.
Initial Training Shift Pattern3 shift rotation: Days/Backs/Nights followed by Continental shift pattern
