Rate: £39.29 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 6-month rolling contract
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join a specialist marine engineering team maintaining vessels and associated shoreside infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on electrical maintenance, fault finding and ensuring the safe, reliable operation of a busy ferry service.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
*Diagnose, fault-find and repair electrical and electronic systems.
*Maintain vessel power systems, switchboards and docking infrastructure.
*Support PLC and control system troubleshooting.
*Complete maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Essential Requirements*Level 2 Electrical NVQ (or equivalent).
*Experience working in a marine or maritime electrical environment.
*Strong electrical maintenance, diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
*Knowledge of marine electrical and electronic power systems.
*Good understanding of electrical safety and risk management.
Desirable*Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) experience.
*PLC troubleshooting.
*Knowledge of DC switchboards, converter drives and marine electrical standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled engineering team supporting a critical transport operation on a long-term rolling contract.
