Location: Newton Abbot (Office-Based)

OverviewA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Newton Abbot. Due to ongoing expansion within the tax department, the firm is seeking a confident and proactive tax professional to manage a varied client portfolio and work closely with senior leadership.
This is a fully office-based, client-facing role offering variety, progression, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities*Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
*Lead on corporation tax compliance, reviews, and advisory work
*Provide high-quality tax advice across a range of sectors and business sizes
*Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and proactive guidance
*Support Partners with complex queries, planning, and strategic tax matters
*Review work prepared by junior members of the team and offer mentorship
*Ensure all filings, submissions, and HMRC correspondence are completed accurately and on time
*Identify tax-saving opportunities and suggest added-value services
*Support in developing and strengthening the firm’s tax offering
About You*Strong experience in corporate tax is essential
*Background in an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm
*Excellent communicator, comfortable in a client-facing role
*High attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and ability to problem-solve
*Able to work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders
*Qualified CTA / ATT / QBE – or a highly experienced Senior ready for progression
