Full job descriptionJob Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Newport
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join their team covering Newport and the wider South Wales region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dual-qualified Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst looking to join a respected consultancy offering a genuine balance of surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use properties. With structured workloads, realistic scheduling, and strong operational support, this role offers long-term stability and excellent career development.
THE ROLEAs an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a varied portfolio of commercial and mixed-use sites throughout South Wales.
Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*Delivering Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
*Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling in accordance with HSG248
*Working across commercial and mixed-use properties
*Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports
*Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites
*Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
*Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
*Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, Asbestos Surveyor, or Asbestos Analyst
*Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
*Ability to manage your own workload independently
*Full UK driving licence
*Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
*Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
