Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and respected organisation in South East London to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy finance team and can quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and deadlines are met.
Your key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant:*Processing purchase and sales invoices
*Assisting with bank reconciliations
*Managing supplier statements and resolving account queries
*Processing payment runs
*Supporting credit control activities where required
*Posting journals and assisting with month-end tasks
*Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
*Providing general administrative support to the finance team
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance support role
*Good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
*Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
*Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice
