We are currently recruiting for a talented Commis Chef to join our client based on the outskirts of Swindon.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the hotel’s quality standards.
*With training, ensure all food is prepared using fresh ingredients and correct cooking techniques.
*Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
*Support and mentor any Kitchen Assistants.
*Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior Chefs.
*Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
*Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, allergen regulations, and health & safety procedures.
*Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods, including weddings, conferences, and events.
Requirements
*College training with successful pass of theory and practical exams.
*Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
*Good organisational skills.
*Ability to work effectively within a team.
*Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and high-quality food.
*Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
*Desirable Qualifications
*NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
*Food Safety Level 2 Certificate.
