£18.00 - £22.00 per hour | Ongoing Contract | Immediate Start Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman to join a busy social housing maintenance team carrying out repairs and upkeep across residential properties.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a well-established contractor delivering maintenance services to housing association and local authority properties.
The Role
As a Handyman, you will be responsible for completing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks within occupied and void properties. You will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out general building repairs and maintenance
*Basic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, skirting and ironmongery
*Minor plumbing repairs such as changing taps and fixing leaks
*Patch plastering and making good
*Painting and decorating touch-ups
*Fitting and replacing fixtures and fittings
*Completing reactive maintenance and planned works
Requirements
*Previous experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Operative, Caretaker or Multi Skilled Operative
*Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance, facilities management or property services
*Good all-round maintenance knowledge
*Ability to undertake a variety of basic trade tasks
*Own tools preferred
*Strong customer service skills
