We’re recruiting on behalf of a local charity dedicated to reducing poverty and creating a future where everyone has reliable access to the support they need. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and organised Administrator/PA to provide vital support to the CEO and senior leadership team.
As the Administrator/PA to the CEO, you’ll play a key role in keeping the charity running smoothly by providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the organisation.
This is an temporary position for 4-6 months (possible extension), working 20 hours per week across 4-5 days with some flexibility around working times. Offices are based on the outskirts of the city with parking available.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing administrative and PA support to the CEO and senior staff
*Liaising with Trustees and external organisations on behalf of the CEO
*Managing HR administration, including DBS checks, IT equipment records, security administration and Health & Safety systems
*Coordinating communication across the charity’s core team
*Maintaining an organised, safe and compliant office environment
*Keeping accurate records of key organisational documents, including leases, insurance, compliance documentation and renewal dates
*Handling incoming post, telephone calls and email enquiries, ensuring they are directed appropriately
*Arranging travel and conference bookings
*Supporting volunteers with administrative tasks
*Assisting with customer service enquiries alongside the Customer Service Coordinator
*Maintaining clear and accurate records to support continuity of work
*Providing additional administrative support as required to meet the needs of the charity
Skills, Experience & Attributes
*Experienced in an administrative and/or Personal Assistant role
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Confident using Microsoft 365 and other IT systems
*An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Friendly, approachable and trustworthy
*Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
*Passionate about supporting a charity that makes a genuine difference in the local community
