This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic History specialist, ECT History Teacher, or experienced Humanities Teacher to make a lasting impact on student progress and achievement.
The RoleAs a Teacher of History, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities for Key Stage 5 (A-Level History) depending on experience.
You will:
*Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the National Curriculum
*Teach a broad range of historical topics, developing students’ understanding of key events, interpretations, and historical enquiry skills
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback to support attainment and achievement
*Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking
*Prepare students for GCSE History examinations and support them in achieving their full potential
*Contribute to the wider Humanities department and participate in enrichment activities such as history clubs, educational visits, and themed events
What We’re Looking For*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*A degree in History or a related subject
*Experience teaching History at secondary level in the UK
*Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
*Excellent communication and organisational abilities
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
*Experience teaching GCSE History is highly desirable
*Experience teaching A-Level History, Humanities, or related subjects would be advantageous
