Full job descriptionTemporary Purchase Ledger Clerk / Credit ControllerLocation: Wigan (WN4)
Job Type: Temporary (4-8 Weeks, with the potential to become long-term)
Start Date: Immediate
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis to provide sickness cover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running, with the potential for the role to become long-term for the right candidate.
The role will primarily focus on Purchase Ledger, with some additional responsibility for Credit Control, Sales Ledger, and general Bookkeeping.
Key Responsibilities:*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices.
*Matching, batching and coding invoices.
*Supplier statement reconciliations.
*Assisting with payment runs.
*Carrying out light credit control duties, including following up overdue accounts.
*Supporting sales ledger activities.
*General bookkeeping and finance administration.
*Assisting the wider finance team where required.
About You:*Ideally 5+ year’s experience within Purchase Ledger and Accounts.
*Previous experience in a similar finance role with transferable skills.
*Confident managing high-volume invoice processing.
*Experience with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and Bookkeeping.
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
*Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
*Available to start immediately.
