The Senior Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing the balance sheet, strengthening controls, and supporting the wider finance function with high-quality accounting and reporting. This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical detail and working closely with the wider business. The role also offers exposure to a dynamic environment where change, growth, and improvement are all part of the journey.
Key Responsibilities
*Take ownership of balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and overall integrity of the balance sheet.
*Support and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
*Ensure strong financial controls are in place and maintained across key accounting areas.
*Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
*Support SOX compliance, controls testing, and documentation where required.
*Review and challenge accounting treatment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Provide guidance and support to the wider finance team on technical accounting matters.
*Contribute to process improvements and help drive efficiencies across the accounting function.
What We’re Looking For
*ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent qualification by experience.
*Strong experience in accounting, financial controls, and balance sheet management.
*Good working knowledge of SOX and internal control frameworks.
*Confident communicator with the ability to work well across the business.
*Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach.
