Full job descriptionKCR Solutions are pleased to be recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Gateshead. Reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across a broad finance function and play an important role in supporting business performance.

We are looking for a motivated finance professional with experience in a similar accounting role. Whether you’re currently studying AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or have gained your knowledge through practical experience, we would love to hear from you.
This is a varied, hands-on position offering involvement in management reporting, reconciliations, forecasting, process improvements and wider finance support.
Duties:*Assist with the preparation and analysis of management accounts
*Produce KPI reports and other key management information
*Complete daily, weekly and monthly balance sheet and control account reconciliations
*Prepare and post journals
*Support accounts preparation through to trial balance
*Complete quarterly reporting submissions
*Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
*Support finance process and control improvements
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
*Provide support across the wider finance team as required
*Work closely with and provide cover for the Financial Controller when needed
About You*Experience within a finance or accounting role with exposure to management accounting activities
*AAT qualified, part-qualified, studying towards a professional qualification, or qualified by experience
*Strong Excel and systems skills
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
*Proactive, organised and able to work to deadlines
*Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
*Team player with a continuous improvement mindset
