Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join their team, playing a key role in improving manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and supporting the production of innovative automated machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, process optimisation and working collaboratively across Engineering, Production and Quality to deliver operational excellence.
This role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
The RoleAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing efficient manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions and implementing improvements that enhance quality, reduce costs and increase productivity.
Key responsibilities include:
*Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
*Identifying and delivering continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
*Investigating production issues and implementing effective solutions.
*Supporting engineering changes and ensuring they are successfully introduced into production.
*Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting accurate manufacturing cost analysis.
*Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Purchasing to improve manufacturing efficiency.
*Participating in PFMEA activities and supporting root cause investigations.
*Assisting with quality and compliance initiatives, including ISO standards.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or a related discipline).
*Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
*Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
*Experience working with BOMs, ERP systems or manufacturing documentation.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
