Our client, a successful and fast-growing logistics business based in Bury, is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their high-energy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years’ purchase ledger experience who is eager to develop their accounting knowledge and build a long-term career within finance.
Please note: Due to the location of the business, the site is not easily accessible via public transport, so your own transport is recommended.
The Role
Working within a busy and fast-paced finance team, you’ll be responsible for managing the purchase ledger function, processing a high volume of invoices and ensuring supplier accounts are maintained accurately.
A significant proportion of transactions are processed in Euros, so experience working with foreign currency invoices would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Reconciling supplier statements
*Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
*Preparing payment runs
*Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
*Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
*Assisting with ad-hoc finance duties as required
About You
*2-3 years’ experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
*Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
*Exposure to Euro transactions would be beneficial
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident communicator with a proactive attitude
*Keen to develop a broader understanding of accounting
*Ambition to study towards or continue studying AAT qualifications
