We are working with a growing organisation seeking an experienced Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst to join their expanding security function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years’ hands-on security experience to take the next step in their career, working across threat detection, incident response, and security operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tooling
*Support incident response activities, from initial triage through to resolution and reporting
*Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with technical teams
*Assist with security control reviews and audits against frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and Cyber Essentials
*Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies and procedures
*Liaise with internal stakeholders and, where required, third-party vendors on security matters
*Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practice
Essential Skills & Experience
*2-4 years’ experience in a cyber/information security role
*Working knowledge of SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools
*Understanding of network security fundamentals and common attack vectors
*Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
*Knowledge of relevant frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials)
*Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
*Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risk to non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
*Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CEH, Cyber Essentials Practitioner)
*Scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell)
*Exposure to incident response or digital forensics
