Established for almost 50 years, our client has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across the commercial, industrial, education, science & technology and specialist sectors. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued business growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The Role
You will take commercial responsibility for multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with Contracts Managers and clients, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent commercial control throughout.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing the commercial performance of multiple construction projects.
*Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts.
*Producing accurate monthly cost reports, CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
*Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating favourable commercial terms.
*Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
*Administering contract changes and ensuring all variations are captured and valued.
*Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
*Providing commercial support to operational teams throughout project delivery.
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.
*Supporting value engineering initiatives to maximise project profitability.
*Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team where required.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
*Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
*Previous experience working for a main contractor, ideally delivering refurbishment or fit-out projects.
*Strong contractual knowledge, including JCT forms of contract.
*Proven experience managing projects from procurement through to final account.
*Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
*Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems.
What’s on Offer
*£80,000 - £90,000salary with car allowance.
