The OpportunityWe’re recruiting for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing finance team based in North Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end purchase ledger experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in driving an efficient AP function.
Key Responsibilities*Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process.
*Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
*Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries.
*Support month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
*Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
*Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
*Support and mentor junior members of the finance team.
*Assist with audits and ad hoc finance projects.
About You*Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role.
*Strong understanding of the end-to-end AP process.
*Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships.
*Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
*Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
