Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working with a highly successful and growing Cornish business to recruit a Payroll Manager for a brand-new role.
Reporting to the Group Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the payroll function, leading a small team and overseeing payroll for more than 200 employees across a mix of salaried, hourly-paid and shift-based workers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end payroll process for 190+ employees
- Ensuring HMRC, pension and statutory compliance
- Leading payroll reporting, reconciliations and year-end activities
- Managing and developing a Payroll Officer
- Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
- Driving payroll process improvements and system enhancements
- Acting as the business’s payroll expert and key point of contact
We’re looking for an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge of UK payroll legislation and proven experience managing a complex payroll environment.
You’ll be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with stakeholders across the business. Previous experience leading a payroll team is essential, whilst experience with Sage Payroll or PayCircle would be an advantage.
