Rate: Up to £40 per hour
Contract: Until the end of the year, with potential to extend
Shift: Permanent Nights - Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am
Start: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a busy food manufacturing site in the DE55 area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance engineer looking for a long-term contract, with the potential for an extension beyond the initial end-of-year period.
The Role:
*Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the production facility
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
*Minimise machinery downtime and ensure equipment is operating efficiently
*Complete preventative maintenance and fault-finding activities
*Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth and efficient operations
*Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate:
*Time-served or suitably qualified Maintenance Engineer
*Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
*Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing
*Comfortable working permanent night shifts
*Able to start at short notice
*Strong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
What’s on Offer:
*Up to £40 per hour
*Contract initially running until the end of 2026
*Potential for a longer-term extension
*Permanent night shift pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm-6am
*ASAP start
