Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Manager for our Children’s Residential Service, catering to children and young people aged 8-17 with social and emotional needs. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Oversee daily operations in one of our residential homes, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for the children and young people.
*Monitor, review, and audit systems to ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant regulations.
*Supervise and support the team, conducting regular appraisals and acting as a mentor.
*Deputise for the Registered Manager as needed.
*Promote the emotional health and wellbeing of the children, acting as a positive role model.
*Engage in continuous personal and professional development through our extensive training programs, including the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum age of 21.
*At least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people.
*Qualified to NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or equivalent.
*Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a management team.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
