Are you an experienced engineering leader looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a specialist pump engineering business?
Our client is looking for a commercially minded Business Lead / General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a well-established pump service, maintenance and engineering business. You’ll lead a team of office staff, workshop personnel and field service engineers whilst driving operational performance, customer satisfaction and business growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading people and making a genuine impact within a growing engineering organisation.


The Role
*Lead the day-to-day operations of a specialist pump engineering business.
*Manage office staff, workshop personnel and field service engineers.
*Drive operational performance, service delivery and customer satisfaction.
*Take responsibility for budgets, profitability and overall business performance.
*Develop existing customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities for growth.
*Support business development and commercial activities.
*Mentor, develop and motivate the existing team.
*Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality and operational excellence.


About You

You’ll ideally have:
*Experience leading engineering or service teams.
*A background within pumps, rotating equipment, mechanical engineering, HVAC, industrial equipment or a related engineering sector.
*Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets, profitability and operational performance.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*The ability to build lasting customer relationships and develop business opportunities.
*A hands-on approach with a passion for leading engineering teams and driving continuous improvement.
