An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction Solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE to join their Southampton team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of high-quality construction and engineering matters, acting for an impressive client base that includes national developers, funders, landlords, contractors and consultants.
Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will advise on a varied portfolio of projects spanning commercial and residential developments, mixed-use schemes, infrastructure, offshore renewables and leisure developments. The role offers a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, making it ideal for a solicitor looking to broaden their expertise within a thriving practice.
The Role
You will advise clients throughout the full lifecycle of construction projects, from procurement and contract negotiation through to dispute resolution where required. The successful candidate will have experience in either contentious or non-contentious construction matters and enjoy building strong client relationships while delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
Key responsibilities include:
*Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and third-party rights.
*Advising developers, contractors, funders and consultants throughout all stages of development.
*Managing construction disputes and providing strategic risk management advice.
*Supporting business development initiatives and helping to strengthen existing client relationships.
