Income Officer
Location: Warrington
Rate: £24.00 - £25.50 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Length: Ongoing
Hours: Full-Time
Venn Group are working with a Housing Association in Warrington to recruit an Income Officer on an ongoing interim contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising rental income, reducing arrears, supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies, and taking appropriate enforcement action where required.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a caseload of rent accounts, monitoring arrears performance and taking appropriate action to maximise income.
*Conduct income and expenditure assessments, agree repayment plans, and refer customers to relevant support services.
*Progress arrears cases in line with policy, including preparing legal documentation and enforcement action where necessary.
*Work closely with internal teams and external agencies, including Housing Benefit and DWP services, to support tenancy sustainment and income recovery.
*Undertake customer contact through telephone calls, written correspondence, and home visits, maintaining accurate records on housing management systems.
Requirements
*Previous experience working within income management, rent recovery, or housing management.
*Knowledge of arrears recovery processes, welfare benefits, and tenancy enforcement.
*Experience managing a caseload and working to performance targets.
*Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage vulnerable tenants.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
